Microsoft Office Docx Format

I upgraded Microsoft Office to the latest version recently and noticed that the default file format for saved documents had been changed to docx. My notebook with an older version of Microsoft Office was not able to load the docx documents properly and I was wondering what I could do to enable docx support in that old version of Office.

The article Ways to open Docx documents helped me tremendously. According to the article I only had to download the Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack to add docx support in my old version of Microsoft Office.

And the author of the article was right. After installing the package from Microsoft I was able to view the docx files in my old version of Office.
