Lenovo has announced an ultra-mobile PC (UMPC) called the IdeaPad U8, that features a 4.8” display, 3G connectivity, a “trackball”, a GPS and will be powered by an Atom processor.

Sources say that it is likely to run on a non-Windows OS (which pretty much means Linux). At the beginning the IdeaPad will be on sale for Chinese only but hope be appeared everywhere soon. The price has not been announced yet, but it should be out by the end of next month.
