I’ve loved Samsung Galaxy Note because of the ability to freely capture and create ideas anywhere and everywhere. It has the S Pen which is combined with the full touch screen you may create a best-in-class mobile input experience with. So, with this pen, you can easily sketch drawings or write notes with increased accuracy and ease. Also, the S Pen functionality is deeply integrated into the GALAXY Note’s native applications to provide a richer interactive experience. Besides that Samsung Galaxy Note provides tha fantastic features making it a great phone/tablet hybrid:
• 5.3 inch Super AMOLED touchscreen
• S-Pen Stylus for handwriting and drawing
• Android Gingerbread (2.3.4)
• Dual-core 1.4GHz processor
• 16GB internal storage, expandable by microSD card to 32GB
• 8 megapixel camera
• 1080p video recording

Sony Ericsson Xperia Play
by Doc_Ren on Mar.03, 2011, under Mobile models, Sony Ericsson
The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play is a smartphone developed by Sony Ericsson and is the latest release of the Xperia branded series of smartphones. The phone is running on the Android operating system and uses Android 2.3, the latest version, otherwise called Gingerbread. It is the first ever smartphone that is PlayStation certified which means that it can play PlayStation games, and currently there are around 50 of them that have been ported for this phone.
The public got their first glimpse of the phone in February 2011 when it was showcased at the 2011 Mobile World Congress in Spain, though it will not be available for UK customers until 28th March.
The phone features a sliding section but rather than having a keyboard the slider is very similar to the PlayStation Portable Go (PSP Go). There are PlayStation type buttons along with a pair of touch-pads and other buttons. Naturally the phone also shares the same capacitive 854 x 480 pixel touchscreen as the Xperia X10.
The hardware is somewhat of an improvement over the X10. It uses the same Snapdragon processor which is clocked at 1GHz, buy in addition there is a dedicated graphics processer, the Qualcomm Adreno GPU and a faster memory. Otherwise the 5.1 megapixel camera and other features closely resemble the X10.
Certainly this is a smartphone built for the gamers market and although this is a niche, it is a very big niche and one that has been anticipating the launch of such a phone since 2006 when Sony Computer Entertainment filed a patent for one.
Ever since then there have been numerous official and unofficial leaks regarding the phone’s development. It seems that the project suffered a number of setbacks and at one time was actually cancelled. There were also some political setbacks and it took some time before Sony and Sony Ericsson were able to come up with a deal that both organisations were happy with.
Was it all worth the wait and the effort? Naturally only time will tell but so far it seems that for gamers the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play ticks just about all the boxes. head over to the phones4u site today to see all the new Sony Ericsson Xperia deals.
The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 – a handset for the future
by Doc_Ren on Sep.15, 2010, under Mobile models, Mobile News
2009 was a bit of a dormant year for Sony Ericsson, with the release of the Satio highly anticipated and yet a bit of a letdown when it finally arrived. With the more recent launch this year of the XPERIA X10, its first phone running the Android operating system, has the Swedish Japanese alliance made it back onto the league tables of top mobile phone manufacturers?
The X10 is beautiful to look at, there’s no question of that. Its screen is at a massive 4 inches, with a bright and colourful display that makes photo and video viewing a thrilling experience. There are minimal buttons on the front of the phone, allowing the screen to truly dominate. The three tiny buttons at the bottom are simple enough, labelled with little icons for home, menu and back, making navigating your phone very easy. The right hand side of the phone also has a camera shutter button and keys for adjusting the volume.
Although sharp and angular on the front, giving the phone a modern feel, the back of the phone has been given a gentle curve that makes holding it in your hand much more comfortable. It also slides well into your pocket and doesn’t make an uncomfortable lump. It is a little chunky at 13mm thick, but this doesn’t affect the weight of the phone that much and it remains sleek and trim.
The 1GHz Snapdragon processor keeps the X10 quick and efficient, with a WebKit-based browser making internet usage enjoyable. One of the most interesting new features on this phone is the inclusion of a Timescape overlay, meaning you can customise your home screen to display what Sony Ericsson calls Timescape Spleens. These are scrollable lists of updates and actions, such as Twitter posts, Facebook statuses and texts you have sent.
The XPERIA X10 is an interesting phone with lots of features that will need careful exploration if you want to use them properly – however, if you’re willing to educate yourself, this is a futuristic phone with a lot of features not widely found on other models.
A free Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 could be yours today if you visit www.dialaphone.co.uk, with contracts starting from as little as £15 a month.
